Satellite TV - ExpressVu Vs Star Choice

I have been working in the Satellite business for the last 10 years. I don't assume I know everything, but I know quite a bit about Satellite TV. Even until this date, I still get asked, what is the difference between Express Vu and Star Choice Satellite systems in Canada.

Believe or not, both companies offer about the same channels. In fact, over 95% of the channels are the same. Also, their prices are quite competitive in the Canadian market. So, if that's the case, what makes a person choosing one satellite company from the other one? The answer is very simple: Features and Gadgets.

Let me put it this way, if you are person who loves simplicity & easy to use, Star Choice is the best choice for you. However, if you're a person who loves the latest in technology with lots of features. Express Vu is your choice.

I will buy a Star Choice system if you are not much technology inclined. Star Choice is very simple to use. In fact, it doesn't offer that many features in terms of recording, searching shows and things like that. In otherwords, if you are happy just to turn the receiver on and flip channels, That's what Star Choice is all about it.

Now, if you are like me who loves the latest toys and gadgets, ExpressVu is your choice. Bell Express gives you four features not found in Star Choice. First, all receivers have a VCR recording capability. What this means, it allows you to record ANY show ANY time by using a VCR. Best of all, you don't need to program your VCR. All you need is to have a tape in it, the satellite receiver will do the rest. Second, you get access to a 5 days weather forecast. You can check how's the weather in your area in matter of seconds. Third, you have a search show capability. If you don't know what time and in what channel your favorite show will be on, all you do is type the show name. Subsquently, Express Vu, will give you time, day and channel where the show is playing. Last and not least, ALL receivers have an optical connection. It allows you enjoy dolby digital sound in ANY movie broadcasting it.

In summary, you are the one who makes the decision. If you are looking for simplicity, Star Choice is the one to go. But, if you are looking for cutting edge features, Bell Express Vu is a MUST. Both companies are great in terms and digital picture and sound. The choice is ALL yours!!! http://www.satellite-connection-systems.com
